Le Va Inclusive Centre

Le Va.mp4

Papatoetoe South School is in the unique position of offering our students, dependent on their needs, the opportunity for integration:

fully mainstreamed

partially mainstreamed

full-time placement in our Centre

The Inclusive Centre is led by Mary Robertson, a member of our leadership team.

Our team are very experienced and are hugely empathetic to the students in their care.

The students in our Le Va Inclusive Centre are known as Room 20 with two wonderful teachers and are ably supported by a team of Learning Assistants.

Le Va has a range of extra resources to support the learner with high needs.

These resources include:

High adult to child ratio

Access to therapists on-site

(physiotherapy, occupational therapy and speech-language therapy)

Knowledge of/support accessing  links to outside agencies

Some students come to Room 20 and stay for a few months, others stay for a few years. All have an inclusion component in their IEP document.

Our focus is to get students working successfully in regular classroom settings.
