Kia Ora Koutou, Jacinda has just announced that schools will close as of 3.00pm today. Families are asked to stay home.

This is to keep safe and stop the spread of COVID-19. Wellbeing of all is our first priority and we are pleased this decision has been made to keep our community and New Zealand safe. We want our students to keep busy and engaged in learning. Activity packs will go home this afternoon. These are generic and further learning and communication will be with teachers via SeeSaw. If you are not signed up with SeeSaw, please do so. Spare activity packs will be placed in the Pataka Kai on Milan Road, for families who have been away today.

School will be open for the next two days for children who have parents that are doctors, nurses, police, fire brigade or ambulance service. From 3.00pm on Wednesday, school will be closed completely until the government lets us know we can open again.

We will communicate via School Apps, email and SeeSaw until then. We appreciate your understanding and focus on following the government guidelines. We look forward to seeing you all safe, happy and healthy in a few weeks. Kia kaha!
