Papatoetoe South School is the specialist service provider for Manukau City, Papakura and Franklin Districts.

The Specialist Service Provider Schools exist because the Ministry of Education wishes to ensure that funding for students with physical disabilities, and not Ongoing Resourcing Scheme (ORS), is managed effectively to improve educational opportunities and outcomes for students with physical disabilities in the school sector. We operate under the Specialist Service Standards.

Aims and Goals of the Organisation
To provide quality therapy services for tamariki who have a primary physical disability that impacts on their ability to access their school environment and is a barrier to educational participation and learning. The service may be accessed in conjunction with other special education services such as In Class Support (ICS), Resource Teachers: Learning and Behaviour (RTLB), Resource Teachers: Vision or Hearing and High Health Needs Fund (HHNF).
